I love ranch dressing but have started to not liking the bottled kinds. I love the ranch dressing at The Pie (in Ogden by WSU) and this tastes almost the same.
From Cook's country magazine, with a few changes for my taste:
makes about 1 cup of dressing
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup reduced fat mayo
2 tablespoons buttermilk
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 garlic clove grated
1 tablespoon fresh chives minced
1 tablespoon fresh dill
1/4 teaspoon salt
pinch of black pepper
Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl, until smooth. Dressing can be stored for up to 4 days.

Hi Nora - I am glad you posted your recipe blog on PYP. For some reason, this is the first time I have seen it. I totally love the Ranch dressing at The Pie. I about died when I read that in your description because I was just craving some of that good Ranch dressing yesterday. I will definitely have to try out your recipe. I am excited!
